Trisakti University conducted its orientation program for the new doctoral students in Industrial Engineering on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The event was conducted offline at Room 701/TSC, 7th Floor, F&G Building, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti (Campus A), Jakarta. The orientation aimed to welcome and introduce the new doctoral students to the academic environment and available facilities.

The orientation began with a warm welcome from the Head of the Program, Prof. Parwadi Moengin, Ph.D., who provided an introduction to the vision and mission of the Faculty of Engineering, as well as expectations for the new students. Following this, the participants attended a session on the curriculum and structure of the doctoral program in Industrial Engineering, presented by qualified faculty members and academic advisors. The Program Secretary, Dr. Ir. Iveline Anne Marie, M.T., also provided detailed explanations regarding the coursework, research, and other essential aspects of the doctoral program.

After the academic sessions, the new students had the opportunity to tour various campus facilities. They visited public areas such as the modern library, classrooms, and residential spaces. Additionally, they were shown non-public areas that support student activities, including specialized research workspaces and group discussion areas such as the Student Lounge, mukim spaces, cafeteria, and garden.

The orientation concluded with a Q&A session and interactive discussion, providing an opportunity for students to gain deeper insights and ask questions about the academic and research processes.

The presence of these new students is expected to bring positive energy and innovation to the academic and research environment of the Faculty of Industrial Technology and Universitas Trisakti  in general. Through this orientation, both the Head and the Secretary of the Program not only welcomed the new students but also ensured they are prepared and enthusiastic about starting their challenging academic journey in the doctoral program in Industrial Engineering.

It is hoped that this orientation marks a positive beginning for the new students as they face challenges and achieve success in their academic endeavors.
