The existence of  the Study Program of Industrial Engineering – Doctoral Program, Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti began with the decision of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia No. 644/E/O/2023 dated August 1, 2023, concerning permission to open an Industrial Engineering Doctoral Program at Universitas Trisakti.

At the beginning of the establishment of the Industrial Engineering Doctoral Study Program in 2023, it was under the management of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Universitas Trisakti. The Industrial Engineering Doctoral Study Program was established in order to participate in developing human resources, especially in developing research and scientific innovation in Industrial Engineering, especially in the fields of hybrid system optimization and Sustainable manufacture and service systems that are reliable, international standard and sustainable to increase productivity and industrial competitiveness.
